Ms. Graham's Classes - Persuasive Speeches
DO THIS NOW:
You have five (5) minutes to do the following:
1. Open a word document.
2. Type:
Gale / EBSCOhost: coronado / tbird
Grolier coronadohs / tbird
3. Minimize document (click on minus sign in right corner)
4. Open Mozilla
5. In Google Search bar (Right Top):
Type in: Coronado Library Media
6. Hold your cursor over the TEACHERS tab and click on Ms. Graham's Classes

STEP ONE:
1. Click on the Gale Database
2. Stop and look at the projected screen - Listen and watch demonstration
3. Type your topic into the PowerSearch bar.
4. Look on the Side menu and limit your search by magazines, books, etc.
5. Limit your search further by subject/document type/etc.
6. Always click the box at the top left for "full-text"
7. Select one result - open it and read/scan through the article.
5. Find the "Source Citation" and copy and paste it into your Word Doc
1. Click on the Gale Database
2. Stop and look at the projected screen - Listen and watch demonstration
3. Type your topic into the PowerSearch bar.
4. Look on the Side menu and limit your search by magazines, books, etc.
5. Limit your search further by subject/document type/etc.
6. Always click the box at the top left for "full-text"
7. Select one result - open it and read/scan through the article.

3. Stop and look at the projected screen - Listen and watch demonstration 4. Search for your own topic
5. Under "Limit Search by", click on "Topic overview"
6. Select one result - open it and read/scan through the article.
7. Find the "MLA Citation" and copy and paste it into your Word Doc

5. Look at Left side menu - click on "ARCHIVE"
6. Click on one of the topics on the list.
7. Where is the citation for this article?
Copy and paste the citation into your Word document.
1. Click on the Grolier icon
2. Stop and look at the projected screen - Listen and watch demonstration
3. Scroll to the bottom of page.
4. Click on "Pro / Con Debates"
5. Look at Left side menu - click on "ARCHIVE"
6. Click on one of the topics on the list.
7. Where is the citation for this article?
Copy and paste the citation into your Word document.

5. Check STATUS; Write down CALL NO (Spine Label) and TITLE before
searching shelves
